# Employee logout

> Invalidate the employee session identified by X-Employee-Token.

## POST `/employee/logout`

Invalidate the employee session identified by X-Employee-Token.

Send `Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY` and `X-Device-ID: YOUR_DEVICE_ID`. Also send `X-Employee-Token: YOUR_EMPLOYEE_TOKEN`. See [authentication](https://tapcoupon.mintlify.site/authentication.md).

After logout, that token is rejected on subsequent employee-protected requests.

### Example request

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST "https://tapcoupon.at/api/v1/employee/logout" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "X-Device-ID: YOUR_DEVICE_ID" \
  -H "X-Employee-Token: YOUR_EMPLOYEE_TOKEN"
```

### Example response

```json theme={null}
{
  "message": "Logout successful"
}
```
